Field Representatives – Bonnyville

Field Representatives
As an integral member of the Hallmark Technical Services team, the Field Representatives are responsible for performing a variety of drilling and service rig services running pipe following established company procedures.
Power Tong Operators:
HTS provides power tong operators for the drilling and service rigs, running pipe from 2 3/8" to 20". This position entails driving to a rig location and installing tubular products into the well. The power tong operator is responsible for operating the power tong and doing a visual inspection of the threads, applying the tread compound to the threaded connections, and helping out with the handling equipment used on the rig floor.
Power Thread Washers and Casing Cleaning Crews
HTS provides power thread washers from 2 3/8" to 9 5/8" pipe sizes. Power thread washers enable our Thread Supervision Technicians to thoroughly clean and inspect threaded connections in the field. Thread cleaning is required by all premium connection manufacturers and is recommended for all connections to ensure they are free of contaminants to allow for trouble-free make up. Damaged connections can be easily identified for field repair and/or set aside for re-cuts. This position will entail the removal and reinstalling of thread protectors, the cleaning of threaded connections with an environmentally friendly cleaning solvent, and the installation of centralizers and stop rings.
Computer Torque Monitor
HTS provides computer torque monitoring for the drilling and service rigs. A computer torque monitor will drive to a location and rig up the torque monitoring computer and the equipment and cables onto the power tong which is on the rig floor. The torque monitor will be responsible for collecting the data from the power tong that is sent to the computer. The computer graphs all the threaded connections that the power tong makes up. It is up to the computer monitor to accept or reject the connection from deciphering the graph from the power tong.
You will possess the following experience/qualifications:
You will possess a minimum of six months experience within a related industry, preferably oil and gas; building and maintaining relationships; have excellent organizational and communication skills.
