History

The Hallmark story began in 1980 with one employee, Hallmark's founder, Mr. Ron Northcott. Ron began as the representative for a single mill and operated out of small office in Calgary, Alberta. Over the years, Hallmark has grown steadily achieving nine-digit revenues by 1998 and surpassing 130 employees in 2009. By 2009, we had three yards totalling 120 acres in three locations in Canada. (St. John's, Newfoundland; Inuvik, Northwest Territories; and Nisku, Alberta).

Hallmark's goal has always been to provide the best solution for customers with a history of exceeding their expectations. In order to accomplish that, we put together a team that was proactive, technically competent and customer-focused. More important to our success, we created an environment that nurtured success in all of our employees through engagement and collaboration.

In 2010, we celebrated 30 years in the Canadian oilpatch delivering unsurpassed quality, value, safety and commitment to our customers' success. We can attribute our strong growth and success to four main factors:

  • Visionary leadership;
  • Unwavering core values;
  • A first-rate team of people; and
  • Excellent industry relationships.

Hallmark achieved many milestones over the years, including the launch of an industry first our one-stop tubular services division, Hallmark Integrated Tubular Solutions (HITS) based in Nisku, Alberta. HITS began in 2005 and has revolutionized the industry with a unique product and service offering that resulted in improved quality and safety, as well as significant cost savings and efficiencies for our customers.
