Key Responsibilities:
Leadership/Mentor Role:
- Ensure day to day functions of the Nisku Inventory group are upheld. This pertains to the daily operations of the Inventory Coordinators and Warehouse employees.
- Ensure through growth and training the competency of the Inventory Coordinators is upheld & develop method of measurement of competency
- Foster good communication of the Inventory group. Ensure reporting structure of all required communication is upheld.
- Ensure all tallies are entered within reasonable time and ensure all service tickets are created and electronically entered within 24 hrs of movement.
- Ensure Inventory counts are performed as set by Company and ensure resolution of all discrepancies as set out in process.
Conveyance of Information to Director of Operations:
- Maintain statistical data with regards to related Inventory functions
- Communicate daily, weekly & monthly to the Director of Operations all recorded date – Parameters will be set through discussion
- Communicate immediately to the Director of Operations all problems encountered within the Inventory group, as well as any problems associated to third party vendors/suppliers.
Posting of NEW Material Orders. Track all inbound material:
- Receive tallies from Inventory Nisku, check for correctness, post material into Navision
- Forward date stamped tallies electronically & through mail to Inventory Calgary
- Track all inbound material & update weekly to Director of Operations, Physical Inventory and Yard Foreman and Warehouse when necessary. Track through electronic mail as well as the railcars updated as above & use Navision for expected dates of incoming material.
- Upkeep of the Hallmark Tubular Buyback program (Creating POs, Journal entries into Navision & reconciliation)
Additional Duties:
- Upkeep of Hallmark Tubulars Conversion program (Creating POs, Journal entries and reconciliation)
- Manages, creates, produces and verifies all aspects of handling accounts.
- Create & Process outgoing tallies for shipments
- Create & Process Internal Yard transfers as required
- Perform inventory checks as requested
- Process Incoming tallies for shipments
- Coordinate with Yard Crew as required
- Coordinate with Operations as required
- Direct and verify incoming new material as well as process incoming tallies for new material
- Send weekly/monthly inventories as required
- Problem solving Inventory issues for Inside Sales & Operations
- Fax paperwork as required
- Process Inventory Yard transfers as required
- Filing as required.
- Mandatory attendance required for Physical Inventory counts
- Ensure traceability of all material supplied for customer and any requirements are met and followed through if changes occur.
- Help cover reports when sick or on holidays
- On call rotation. (Currently 24 hrs/day, one week per month)

You must possess the following Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated ability to lead, engage and motivate a high functioning team
- 5 + Years Related Experience
- Experience in the Oil & Gas Industry a must with specific knowledge of OCTG management and inventory systems within the oil patch
- Exceptional computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications
- Communication - Demonstrated ability and professionalism in working with customers; able to discern the appropriateness of communications.
- Demonstrated ability in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with employees and internal business partners.
- Capable of utilizing interpersonal skills very effectively in coordinating administrative tasks.
- Understands the importance of contribution within a team and individuals that make up a team.
- Capable of handling multiple tasks effectively
- Minimum Grade 12 education, and/or post-secondary education
